room inspiration: mourning dove

Today, September 21, is the United Nations’ International Day of Peace. The symbol of the day is a peace dove, and so I decided to put together a little dove-themed inspiration board in honor of the occasion. Here in Missouri, mourning doves are everywhere–those beautiful, soft gray birds with a pretty coo. I used to own one, actually–Angel. Sweetest bird I ever had. room inspiration: plums and cream

One of my favorite things to do (both in planning for our first house, which will hopefully happen in the next year or so, and in general) is to create room mood boards that draw their inspiration from a single object or piece of artwork. Since I’m a full-time Etsy seller, I like to browse my fellow sellers’ shops and pick out inspiring works to base boards around.
